Kannada and Culture Dept. to go paperless

May 23, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 09:17 am IST - BENGALURU:

Office of the Director of Kannada and Culture will be the first in Karnataka to turn into an entirely paperless office (PLOs) shortly, under the core-Mission Mode Project of National e-Governance Plan of the Centre.

Under this system, all files will be digitalised and will have an electronic trail to check their status, according to K.A. Dayanand, Director of Kannada and Culture.

The move is a one-stop solution to problems being faced by the public. With the click of a button, the history of an entire case will open up on the screen
