Bayyaram village derived its name from Bayyamamba, according to historians. The Bayyaram tank still caters to the irrigation needs of farmers under its ayacut spread in Kothapeta, Irsulapuram and Venkatrampuram villages. The stone inscription was repositioned on the tank bund of the Bayyaram lake by the Tourism Department in 2012 as part of its efforts to restore and conserve the historical monument. Photo: G.N. Rao
