YSR Congress president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy will launch his second leg of Samaikhya Sankharavam in Chittoor district on December 27.

Mr. Jagan will resume his yatra from the Fourth Road Cross at Palamaner Assembly constituency at 12.00 noon. He will unveil the statue of Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy at Pattikonda village in the constituency.

He had earlier launched his Samaikhya Sankharavam at Kuppam, the bastion of the TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu on November 30 to an overwhelming response from the party cadres and public.

The yatra was stopped midway as Mr. Jagan embarked on his all India tour to meet the national leaders in an effort to garner support for Samaikyandhra cause.

As his earlier visit sparked a face-off between the TDP and YSRC cadres at Shantipuram and Ramakuppam, the second phase is expected to give a tough time to police in Palamaner constituency, which happens to be the stronghold of the TDP since three decades.

Jagan arrives at Pulivendula

Special Correspondent adds: YSRC president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy arrived at Pulivendula on Monday on a three-day stay to celebrate Christmas. YSRC leaders, activists and people met him in his camp office at Pulivendula and spoke on development works in Kadapa district. He and his family members would offer prayers in CSI church at Pulivendula on December 25 and would later meet the people in his office.
