Congress MP Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy today left for Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh, from his family estate at Idupulapaya to resume his controversial ’Odarpu Yatra.’
Mr. Jagan stopped at Porumamilla in Kadapa district in the State on his way to Giddaluru in Prakasam from where he would commence the ‘Yatra.’
He met the families of his supporters and also unveiled a statue of his father late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.
“You are blessing me like your own brother or son. Can anyone say that our beloved leader Y S Rajasekhara Reddy is no more? He lives in your hearts. He has given me a huge family that comprises all of you. I am thankful to your love and affection,” he said.
Despite reservations of the Congress high command, Mr. Jagan has completed his ‘Yatra’ in West Godavari, Khammam, Srikakulam and East Godavari districts in the State.
Mr. Jagan started the ‘Odarpu Yatra’ in May to console the family members of those who died following the death of his father in West Godavari district last year.
