'Jagan hosted 125 politicians in jail’

The Telugu Desam on Sunday released a list of 125 political leaders who met Kadapa MP Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy in the jail since his detention on May 29, 2012.

The list was sent to the Director General of Prisons T. Krishna Raju with a query whether his recent press statement that no special facilities were extended to Jagan was in the fitness of things.

Dichpalli MLA Mandava Venkateswara Rao told a media conference on Sunday that the politicians who met Jagan have confided about getting their problems resolved by the Kadapa MP. It showed that the jail was used by Jagan to carry out political activity against rules. Mr. Rao expressed dismay at Mr. Raju’s denial of reports of political activity inside the jail when it was brazenly conducted by the Kadapa MP. He questioned Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy whether he was aware of the goings on. In fact, Mr. Reddy was indirectly protecting Jagan out of his own insecurity, he added.

The letter of the TDP was signed by Leader of Opposition in Legislative Council Y. Ramakrishnudu.
