Four killed in accidents in Anantapur district

Four people were killed and eight others were injured in three separate accidents in the district. Two of the accidents took place close to Penukonda town on the NH44.

Three people travelling in a car to Bengaluru from Anantapur were killed on the spot near the Eswar Rubber Factory, close to Penukonda town, when the vehicle rammed a median on NH 44.

The victims have been identified as Rajamma (55), her husband Chandrasekhara Reddy (62) and Hanumantha Reddy (65).

All the deceased belong to the Gollapalli Ramachandrapuram village of the Gouribidanur district of Karnataka.

Knocked down by RTC bus

Challa Venkataramana (29) of Indukuri palli village in Talupula mandal, was killed when the two-wheeler he was riding was knocked down by an RTC bus near Kutagula railway gate, near Kadiri.

'Two others who were seriously injured in the accident have been shifted to the government general hospital in Kadiri town.

In the third accident. near Guttur village of Penukonda mandal, six persons were injured when the car they were travelling fell into a ditch.

The injured were taken to the Penukonda government hospital before being shifted to Bengaluru for better treatment.
