Four persons were arrested after Rs 2.92 crore in cash was recovered from their vehicle in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, police said.
A car in which the four were travelling was intercepted during a routine check up at Valavallur village on Friday. A search of the vehicle yielded Rs 2.92 crore in cash, they said.
The occupants of the car said the cash was proceeds from a land sale, but the police was not satisfied with their reply and placed them under arrest for further questioning, they added.
