Four children in distress rescued in Ongole

Childline India Foundation NGO partner HELP rescued four children in distress including a girl and two siblings, here on Tuesday.

A 12-year-old orphaned boy who was forced to discontinue his studies by his aunt, himself called 1098 helpline and poured out his woes.

A HELP team led by social activist B.V.Sagar rushed to Balram colony and rescued the boy and his brother aged six years. Principal of a private Orchids School Ajay Kumar offered to provide education free of cost to the brothers who were lodged in a rescue home ‘Bommarilu’ here.

Another 7-year-old orphaned boy was also rescued from Balram colony and put in the rescue home.

The girl aged five years, who was wandering on the Anjaiah road was joined into a rescue home ‘Bala Sadan’ on the orders of the District Child Welfare Committee.

She could not communicate anything about her parents, Mr. Sagar said.
