A former MLA was caught copying at AC College of Law here on Thursday morning.

Sk. Mastan Vali, former Congress MLA, who appeared for the LL.B examination paper — Legal Language and Writing — was caught by a three-member squad of Acharya Nagarjuna University.

Two others, who are all youth leaders of various parties, were also caught copying. Sources said that Mr. Vali allegedly used a micro photocopy of the answers. He enrolled for the LL.B course from JKC College of Law in 2015. He was appearing for the year-end examinations and writing his final paper.

“The three candidates would be booked on charges of suspected malpractice. Their answer scripts would be sent to ANU and they would be barred from appearing in other examinations,” said principal, AC College of Law, Royal S.D Lam.
