As many as 72 projects of various departments of similar nature such as welfare departments, works departments, land management wings and sectors (tourism, industries and etc.) have been grouped under 14 packages. The government is gearing up to invite expression of interest from interested companies/enterprises for developing appropriate software programmes for the projects.
The project is envisaged to be implemented in three phase and set for completion by December 2017. A detailed document on e-Pragati will be released by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu at Visakhapatnam . The different projects will be awarded to bidders through e-procurement policy. “We will fan out in the next four to six weeks and the first phase comprising three packages – core governance, agriculture and education will be awarded by the end of this month”, officials said.
