Employees seek fund for capital

Andhra Pradesh Secretariat Employees took out a rally in the lunch hour here on Tuesday to express their resentment against the Centre for not making the promised allocations to the State in the Union Budget.

The protesters alleged that there was meagre allocation of funds for Polavaram project, construction of the new capital and denial of special category status in the Budget.

Around 500 employees took part in the rally after giving intimation to the Chief Secretary in the morning.
