An employee, who after being denied leave, sent abusive mails to his bosses was taken into custody, cyber crimes police said here on Wednesday.

The person identified as Killamsetti Vinod Kumar (24), works as the company's retail store manager at Dendulur in West Godavari district. The MBA graduate hailing from Koraput of Orissa was reportedly frustrated as the management did not allow him to go on leave, and began sending abusive emails to his bosses who approached the police.

Cyber Crimes wing officials tracked the e-mails and found that they originated from a particular computer in Begumpet, based on the IP address. Sleuths also found that Vinod Kumar used his friend's computer to send the e-mails. Kumar, police said, created an exclusive e-mail ID to transmit five ‘objectionable emails', Cyber Crimes wing SP, B. Sumathi said.

Police are not sure whether his friends were involved in the cyber crime, but cited them as witnesses in the case registered under section 66 (A) of Information Technology Act-2008. The section of law deals with sending offensive messages through communication service.
