Distraught son kills parents

May 15, 2012 10:39 am | Updated July 11, 2016 05:30 pm IST - TIRUPATI:

In a gruesome tragedy, a distraught son allegedly killed his aged parents - S. Subbaramaiah (70) and Gangulamma (64) - in Karakambadi village near here on Monday reportedly upset over them not finding him a suitable match, though all his three brothers and three sisters are happily married.

According to Renigunta police who registered a case of ‘double murder', a massive man-hunt has been launched for Murugaiah (32), who fled the scene after committing the offence.

Police say that the accused was also furious over not getting his due share in his parents' property which must have provoked him to slit their throat with a sickle.
