Dhowan bids farewell to ENC staff

Chief of Naval Staff Admiral RK Dhowan embarked the Eastern Fleet at sea on Sunday the second day of his two-day farewell visit to the Eastern Naval Command.

Admiral Dhowan was accompanied by Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief Eastern Naval Command Vice Admiral HCS Bisht and Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet Rear Admiral SV Bhokare during the exercises at sea. Later, Admiral Dhowan interacted with officers, sailors and defence civilians of the command.

Admiral Dhowan had earlier helmed the Eastern Fleet as Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet from March 2007 to January 2008 and subsequently was the Chief of Staff ENC from January to December 2008.
