Telangana TDP MLAs on Monday said that they would resort to fast if no decision was taken by the Assembly Speaker Madhsudanachary within a week on the status of the MLAs, who defected to ruling TRS from other parties.

The MLAs led by TDP floor leader in the Assembly, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, presented a memorandum to the Speaker on the issue and later staged a dharna in front his chambers demanding that he should give a commitment to take a decision in a time-bound manner. The MLAs were arrested and taken in waiting police vans to MLA quarters and let off. He said that a joint action plan along with the BJP and the Congress would be chalked out if no decision was taken on MLAs who defected to ruling party.
