A team led by Excise and B.C. Welfare Minister K. Ravindra on Sunday spent the week-end in their own way. Beginning the day with cycling into the slum dwellings, the leaders including Excise and B.C. Welfare Minister K. Ravindra interacted with the local people. The initiation of cycling has left the slum dwellers to their surprise. Inspecting the hand pump sets, access to drinking water and other amenities and identifying the problems at the ground level were a few tasks done by the team of leaders.

The women and senior citizens were being allowed to share their grievances and offer their suggestions for better governance during the formal interaction.

The active Telugu Desam Party members also joined the leaders. Machilipatnam Municipal Chairman M. Baba Prasad accompanied them. “People are reacting to us positively, bringing their issues into our notice. Our initiation is yielding expected results as we are reaching to them during the cycling” opined Mr. Ravindra.
