Deputy CM’s assurance to farmers

Deputy Chief Minister N. China Rajappa on Friday reassured farmers of Anantapur district, who had lost their crops to untimely rain, that the government would help them. Speaking at Bukkarayasamudram, he said Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had given directions to all Ministers and officials to visit the affected farm lands and farmers.Accompanied by Irrigation Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao and Civil Supplies Minister Paritala Sunita, Mr. China Rajappa said the government had sought Rs. 1,500 crore from the Centre to help farmers.

“Every farmer who lost their crops shall receive succour from the government,” the Deputy Chief Minister said.
