A couple, K. Raju (40) and K. Vaidurya (33), were crushed under the wheels of a speeding lorry on Errakatta road under the Ajitsingh Nagar police station limits on Sunday morning.

The mishap occurred when the two-wheeler on which Raju, Vaidurya and their son Rajesh were travelling lost control when it was trying to overtake the lorry. They were returning after attending prayers in a church. Rajesh escaped with minor injuries. Police took the lorry driver into custody. The bodies were shifted to the Government Hospital mortuary.
