Congress party men will not stop Telugu Desam President N.Chandrababu Naidu’s ‘Atama Gaurava Yatra’, but he should be ready to face the wrath of the activists of Samaikyandhra movement, Vijayawada Central MLA Malladi Vishnu has said.

Addressing a press conference at the Andhra Ratna Bhavan here on Sunday Mr Vishnu said the people agitating against the division of the State would not tolerate the TDP if it tried to cash in on the Samaikyandhra movement that was intensifying every day. Mr Naidu was obliged to tell the people his stand on the division of the State.

Ridiculing Mr Naidu’s claim that he would bring back the situation in the State to normal in six months, Mr Vishnu said that in the nine years that he was at the helm of affairs Mr Naidu could only build the Hi-Tech City.

Having built the IT facility he claimed that he developed the entire Hyderabad.

Mr Vishnu recalled how the Telugu Desam Party government opened fire on agitators who were demanding the reduction of power tariff that had been exorbitantly hiked. The people of the State rejected him twice, yet he had not learnt his lessons, Mr Vishnu said.

A fall in the value of the Indian Rupee was natural as elections approached, but Mr Naidu was trying to use even that for political gains, Mr Vishnu alleged.
