Collectors’ conference begins today

The government is all set to organise the Collectors’ conference in the city on Wednesday and Thursday (September 20 and 21) at A1 Convention Centre.

The conference has gained importance as the government is likely to focus on fulfilling poll promises.

Mission-wise conferences will be held with the higher-ups of the departments concerned.

On Wednesday, four of the seven missions of Primary Sector, Industry Sector, Urban Development, and Services Sector will be reviewed.

On the second day, Social Empowerment, Knowledge and Skill Development, and Infrastructure missions will be reviewed. Also, Principal Secretaries of all the departments will give presentations on the progress of their schemes and programmes.

Implementation of developmental and welfare schemes, agriculture, creation of an ecosystem for IT and IoT companies, and completion of AP Fibernet will also be discussed. Mr. Naidu will also review law and order situation in the State.
