Close call for Kollu Ravindra

: Excise Minister Kollu Ravindra had a close shave on Thursday night after the car in which he was travelling toppled over at the Kaza toll gate on NH 5. The Minister, who was wearing a seat belt, escaped unhurt.

Sub-Inspector, Mangalagiri Rural, Naresh said that the Minister along with his associates was headed towards Vijayawada.

The car overturned after the driver applied brakes suddenly on noticing a speed-breaker. The Minister was seated in the front seat, but escaped unhurt.

The passengers were rushed to Manipal Superspeciality Hospital and later the Minister proceeded to Vijayawada in another car.

‘Seat belt saved me’

Speaking to media persons after being discharged from the hospital, the Minister said he was able to save his life as he was wearing a seat belt.
