CJI worships at Tirumala

Chief Justice of India Justice Jagdish Singh Khehar on Saturday offered prayers at the sacred shrine of Lord Venkateswara. He was accompanied by his wife Madhur Khehar and other family members.

On his arrival at the main temple complex, the authorities and temple priests extended him a warm reception and led him into the sanctum sanctorum. Prominent among others who received him include TTD executive officer Anil Kumar Singhal, JEO K.S. Srinivasa Raju and other district and police authorities.

Justice Khehar will be participating in the pre-dawn Suprabhata seva on Sunday morning before motoring down to Tirupati en route the temple of goddess Padmavati at Tiruchanoor from where he will proceed to Srikalahasti to take part in the Rahu-Ketu pooja.

Winding up his two-day pilgrimage, he will fly back to New Delhi in the afternoon from the Tirupati airport.
