Civils topper wants to do PG in AKNU

‘Poverty deprived me of college life’

Third ranker in Civil Services R. Gopalakrishna has expressed his desire to do postgraduation in the Adikavi Nannaya University. He visited the university on Tuesday and interacted with students along with Vice-Chancellor Mutyala Naidu.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Gopalakrishna said that he was deprived of college life due to poverty and added that he would do a PG course in the university. Stating that he observed rural atmosphere, poverty and social conditions from close quarters, he said he was confident of doing justice to any kind of responsibility bestowed on him by the government. “Poverty cannot be a deterrent to anyone, if people work hard and set high goals. The fruits which emerge after hard work are very tasty,” he said.

‘Exemplary efforts’

Vice-Chancellor Mr. Naidu termed the hard work done by Mr. Gopalakrishna for 11 years as exemplary. Principals P. Suresh Verma, A. Matta Reddy and K. Subba Rao were present.
