The CII Partnership Summit being held in Visakhapatnam next month, the third edition post-bifurcation in Andhra Pradesh, will highlight investment opportunities in logistics, food processing industries and tourism.

The prestigious event is being held in association with the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, the Government of India and the Andhra Pradesh government.

Unlike last year, the summit will be for three days this time. The event is being held from February 24 to 26 in view of scheduled participation of a high-level team from A.P. led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum at Davos during the month-end.

Registration process

“We have started the registration process. The response is quite encouraging. We are expecting partnership with the governments and top industrialists from South Korea, Japan and Germany. Negotiations are going on,” a senior official of CII connected with arrangements for the summit told The Hindu .

While the first edition of the summit saw 328 MoUs signed envisaging an investment of ₹4.67 lakh crore, the second edition had attracted 665 MoUs with proposed investment of ₹10.54 lakh crore.

“The plethora of investment of opportunities in Sunrise A.P mainly in industrial and tourism clusters as well as food parks proposed in Amaravati, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Tirupati and Nellore will come up for B2B meetings at the summit,” AP Chambers of Commerce and Industry Federation State president G. Sambasiva Rao said.

As part of efforts to outline the roadmap, CII will showcase the priority areas to facilitate and attract investments, promoting networking by bringing the stakeholders and create novel business models.

While the first day will begin with a discussion on charting new India and global integration strategy and a plenary session on Sunrise A.P, the second day will have deliberations on reform calculus.

The last day will see interaction with spiritual transformation leaders.
