China-based companies have evinced interest in participating in Digital India, setting up industrial parks, infrastructure and urban transport projects in Andhra Pradesh during the second day of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu’s Naidu’s visit in China on Monday.

During his interaction with Sinomac officials, its vice-president Liu Jingzhen told Mr. Naidu that his company was setting up industrial parks in Belarus and was interested in coming to India. “We have interest in India. We are watching India’s growth strategy. We see that India has high growth potential”, he added.

When invited by Mr. Naidu to set up an industrial zone with the Chief Minister offering to provide all facilities, he informed that they would come to India and Andhra Pradesh in June or July. “We will come up with a proposal to set up an industrial park”. He also assured the Chief Minister that they would try to go for signing an MoU during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit.

The representatives of Shezhen Mary Photoelectricity Company Ltd., have expressed interest in setting up a manufacturing unit in India.

At the next meeting with Siemens representatives, Mr. Naidu suggested to them to come up with an integrated plan on urban transportation, connecting a remote village to the new capital city being planned in Andhra Pradesh. “One should be able to come to capital in two hours”, he said and sought to know if they could provide multi-modal transport solutions, involving road, rail and waterways.
