Carnatic musician Seshulatha Vishwanath, who has to her credit many Carnatic and devotional albums, conducted a music workshop on Baktha Ramdasu Sankeertanalu for the benefit of members of GenX.

The holy precincts of Thyagaraja Mandiram was a beehive of activity as budding singers from different places in Prakasam district honed their music skills under the guidance of Dr. Seshulatha, who had also tuned several ballets. Dr Seshulatha, a product of Padmavathi Mahila University, initiated them into the music ‘Sampradaya’ of Bhadrachala Ramadasu, one of the famous ‘vaggeyakaras’ of the 17th Century.

A research scholar in music from Potti Sriramulu Telugu University, she also gave a lecture-cum-demonstration on the famous Telugu ‘vaggeyakaras.’ Dr. Seshulatha kept the audience spellbound at a music concert held later in the day.
