Centre paves for way for expediting staff distribution

November 28, 2014 11:17 pm | Updated 11:17 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

The Kamalnathan Committee meeting with the Union Home Secretary at New Delhi on Friday paved the way for expediting the distribution of State level employees between the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The significant outcome of the meeting attended by Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary I.Y.R.Krishna Rao and his Telangana counterpart Rajiv Sharma was to allow the committee to go ahead with the provisional allocation of department-wise division process instead of waiting for the final notification of all cadres.

Sources said about 12 departments notified the division of posts and uploaded them in the State Reorganisation portal to seek objections within 10 days. In the meantime, departments will also put up the seniority list of personnel.

Once the seniority list of personnel was uploaded, option forms will be sent out and the departments will submit tentative allocation list of employees. The committee would independently prepare a list by running the software, cross check and issue a provisional list, consider objections and forward it to the approval of the Government of India.

The Kamalnathan Committee hopes to complete the distribution of State level staff by March-end. There are over 80 government departments apart from statutory institutions where State cadre employees will have to be distributed.
