Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has asserted that the designs for buildings in the capital city would be finalised in about 40 days. The construction work would begin before or after Sankranti, he said.

In an informal talk with mediapersons at Secretariat on Friday, Mr. Naidu said that film director Rajamouli gave valuable suggestions regarding the designs and played a crucial role in finalising them.

Except the designs for the Assembly building, those for the remaining structures were almost finalised, he said, adding, the visit to three countries was successful.

Referring to the padayatra of YSR Congress party president Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister said that Mr. Jagan lacked seriousness. “Mr. Jagan has to attend court every week. What message will he give to the people through his padayatra?” he asked.

To a question, Mr. Naidu said that the Telagana TDP affairs would be settled positively.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister asked the Economic Development Board (EDB) officials to relocate their office to Mangalagiri.

The State government provided office space to the EDB at the APICC building at Mangalagiri.

The officials told him that the EDB would start its operations at Mangalagiri from December.
