Call to promote traditional games

Consul-General of Canada (South India) Jennifer Daubeny on Tuesday observed that traditional games in India were unique and reflected the pristine culture and heritage of the country.

She said Canada would always be in the forefront to financially support the revival of a plethora of traditional games with focus on tribal areas in India.

The Consul-General had inaugurated the one-day Traditional Games Expo and Competitions christened ‘Voice for Play: My Right My Game’ at Palamaner, 40 km from here, with the participation of students from various schools and colleges of Madanapalle division.
