Bus killings: police clueless

July 29, 2012 04:17 am | Updated November 16, 2021 11:00 pm IST - NELLORE:

The police officials investigating the Tada RTC bus killings case could not get useful clues so far to nab the ‘psycho killer’, even as a high-level decision is made to take a re-look at the case after a review meeting by the top-brass.

Special teams were sent to collect fresh information from all available passengers, who travelled in the ill-fated bus on that dreadful night. It was concluded that getting a reliable sketch of the murderer’s face would be impossible .

By the time it was realised that killings took place inside the bus, the murderer made good his escape. As per available description of the scene, the killer silently rose and pressed his one hand against a sleeping co-passenger’s mouth and plunged the sharp knife into his heart. He did this to two other passengers, but the fourth one somehow missed and rushed to alert the driver following which he escaped.
