BSNL to introduce ‘free calling at night’

Y. Venkata Narayana, general manager of the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL), has said that they have lined up various attractive offers to consolidate the BSNL position in the landline segment.

As part of this drive, an offer is being given to all the BSNL landline users to make free unlimited calls to any landline phone or any network cell phone between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. from May 1.

Mr. Venkata Narayana said that the existing landline users can also avail this facility and this will be automatically enabled for them. They need not apply separately for this service. The new connection holders will be extended this facility as well.

Stating that the BSNL will make special efforts to move closer to the users, Mr. Venkata Narayana said that for the new connections, the users can approach any nearby BSNL office or customer service centre. They can also contact 0861-2306599 and 2306544.

For the cellphone users, the BSNL has introduced a new offer wherein they provide 3.6 Mbps data card and 30 GB data will be given free of cost, if the customers subscribe to Rs. 3,299 prepaid mobile data plan.

Ongole Staff Reporter adds: The BSNL has announced unlimited free calling during night hours from landphones to landphones and cell phones as well. The BSNL, at present, has a landline phone customers base of 34,500 in Prakasam district.
