British Paints has set up a factory in Hindupur, Andhra Pradesh.

The facility, on an 11-acre area, at Gollapuram Industrial Park in Anantapur district is an integrated unit for supply of water-based, solvent based and dry paints, both for decorative and industrial segments.

It has been designed to allow phase-wise expansion over the years.

A release from the company said the new facility would help cater to customers in the southern markets and going forward to the western India markets as well.

Thanking the Andhra Pradesh government for the host of benefits it gave for the facility, president Ranjit Singh said with the Hindupur unit the company would work on expanding its footprint in South. It would be adding new branches as well as dealers.

The industrial segment would also receive focused attention, he said.
