: As a sequel to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the Andhra Pradesh Commissioner of College Education and the British Council to improve the communication skills of students, training coordinator from the British Council Neha Kapadia visited the P.R. Government Degree College here on Tuesday and interacted with the faculty members and students. The interaction was intended to assess the skills of students and develop online tailor-made courses to hone them.

The P.R. College is among the 14 degree colleges in the State shortlisted by the British Council to conduct the study. Besides the capabilities of the students and teachers, the study would focus on the aspects like infrastructure, facilities for language training and the teacher-student ratio in the classrooms. The training coordinator interacted with college Principal C. Krishna and the faculty members before convening a series of sessions with the students of different courses.

“We are very happy that the P.R. College has been chosen for conducting the study. The college is equipped with a language lab and a computer lab besides housing the Jawahar Knowledge Centre which are useful for students to improve their skills,” Dr. Krishna said.
