A mechanised boat that set out to sea five days ago capsized near here on Friday afternoon. The seven fishermen who were in the boat returned to the shore safely by evening. They belong to Kakinada and the incident took place between Biyyaputippa and Pallipalem villages near Sagara Sangamam (where river Godavari joins the sea).
According to Oleti Devanandam of Balusutippa , he gave his boat to them on rent . He received a call from one of the fishermen that the steering of the boat was not working and immediately he rushed in another boat to rescue them.
All the fishermen saved their life by getting into the rescue boat.
