The Telangana unit of the BJP has advised the Chief Ministers of A.P. and Telangana to hold discussions for amicably resolving the ongoing impasse over the bifurcation of the High Court. Extending his party’s support to the agitating legal fraternity, BJP Telangana president K. Laxman said the two governments were trying to politicise a serious issue rather than finding an amicable solution. “It is unfortunate that the issue is being politicised. The two governments are trying to cover up their failure in arriving at an amicable solution,” he said.

Dr. Laxman took objection to the reported attempts being made to pass the blame on to the BJP-led Central government. There is no point in dragging the Central Government as it had already released Rs.100 crore to A.P. towards the construction of the High Court in the new State, he said. He sought to know why the Chief Ministers of the two States did not hold discussions on the issue so far.
