The village, with around 500 families, are now depend on water tankers supplied by the corporation. Located 12 km from Chittoor , the village get tankers once in three days, with a stipulation of 10 vessels, roughly 150 liters, per family, irrespective of the number of members. “All water is used for drinking and cooking. Forget about washing clothes, even taking a bath is a luxury here,” said Marthamma.
