Auction of FCV tobacco to begin in Karnataka on September 14

Auctions for the Flue Cured Virginia (FCV) tobacco in Karnataka would begin on September 14, Manager, Auctions, Ravi Kumar, said here on Friday.

Staggered timings

The auctions would be conducted in staggered timings with single set of buyers at the auction platform complexes where two or more platforms were situated at one location and also in staggered timings at Kampalapura with Chilkunda auction platforms till a sizable number of bales were offered for sale.

Auctions would be held at H.D. Kote, Hunsur, Periyapatna, Ramanathapura, Kamalapura, and Chilkunda.
