AP team leaves for Singapore to study urban planning

A 24-member team of officials from Andhra Pradesh on Monday left for Singapore to attend a six-day training programme relating to the building of new capital city.

The team includes Principal Secretary, Municipal Administration, A.Giridhar; Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) Commissioner, Srikanth; 12 members from CRDA, and five from Andhra Pradesh State Remote Sensing Application Centre. The remaining officials belong to police and other departments.

The team would undergo training on urban planning and the best practices at the Centre for Liveable Cities, Singapore, which will be adopted during the construction of the capital.
