The Municipal Administration Department has appointed South Central Railway former general manager P.K. Srivastava as advisor to assist the Government in implementation of the rail transportation projects on a fast track mode.
In the orders issued on Wednesday, Municipal Administration Principal Secretary A. Giridhar recalled the Government’s decision to set up a Greenfield capital city between Vijayawada and Guntur cities. The Government had simultaneously focussed on issues relating to speed rail connectivity for connecting the capital region with all corners of the State.
Accordingly, it was decided to utilize the services of Mr. Srivastava for assisting the Government in the implementation of projects designed in this regard, the orders said adding Mr. Srivastava will be in the post for a period of two years.
