Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) president K. Chandrasekhar Rao has said that the announcement of All India Congress Committee general secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad seeking more time to take a decision on Telangana was on expected lines.
That was why he had stated that the meeting presided by Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde on December 28 was useless.
He asked Congress leaders to come out of the “venomous embrace” of the party and join the movement for separate Telangana if they were worth the salt.
Otherwise, they will be part of history.
The Telangana leaders of Telugu Desam also said they never expected the government to make an announcement by January 28 and added that the Congress deliberately dragged the issue to gain political mileage.
CPI State secretary K. Narayana said he suspected that the Congress leadership was trying to dodge the issue yet again.
Delaying a solution to Telangana further would adversely impact the State’s politics as well as the Telugu speaking people, he added. Senior BJP leader Bandaru Dattatreya said the Centre appeared to be bowing to pressures and throwing its weight behind Seemandhra leaders.

To till date I voted for congress, now congress will washed away in Telangana and certainly I'll vote for Telangana party. Because of congress my Telangana people lost their lives.
I am feeling ashamed of being Telugu person, I never thought our so
called leaders are so bad and want their own welfare at the cost of
society - Seema and Andhra leaders bribing/threatening central
leadership by not sticking to their words & Telangana leaders don't
have dare to walk out of government by putting their papers for the
cause of Telangana.
every one playing with telangana issue merely not committing on one
decision .......!!!
if these continuous then there will be more pro and con and nothing end
of the decision ................!!!!
Now, there is no leader like Indira Gandhi to be firm.
That is why AP is suffering immensely.
These are kind of netas who lead us. Azad agrees that govt is not
committed. What a dialogue!! When one says tomorrow it may not be
tomorrow...
