August 02, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 06:04 am IST - ONGOLE:

In a bid to tap new generation customers, the public sector Andhra Bank plans to provide 24x7 banking facility in all its branches in phases, according to a top executive of the bank.

Throwing open its ‘Navshakti’ branch at its main branch along with Ongole MLA D. Janardhana Rao, bank Executive Director Ajit Kumar Rath said people need not any longer wait in long queues to transact at fixed business hours as in conventional branches.

“Navshakti branches are a boon to customers as they can transact leisurely even at night after their regular office hours,” he explained along with Deputy General Manager K.S.P.V. Ramanamurthy.

“Six more such branches would be opened in the zone in the next two to three months,” he said.
