Anam brothers likely to join YSRC

August 01, 2015 12:00 am | Updated March 29, 2016 12:30 pm IST - NELLORE:

Faced with the new political crisis, the Anam family led by senior Congress leader Anam Vivekananda Reddy is stated to be on its way to join the YSR Congress regardless of the response from the local leaders of the opposition party in Nellore district.

Of late, political speculation is gaining momentum about the Anam brothers’ next political move. This is particularly so following their absence in the recent visit of Rahul Gandhi in Anantapur district.

While in power, both Anam Vivekananda Reddy and former minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy took a hard line against YSRC president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy.

In the post-election scenario, rumours went round about Mr. Ramanarayana Reddy making unsuccessful efforts to join the Telugu Desam Party.

During their long political career spanning three generations, the Anam family has worked in the TDP for some time in the past.

With TDP senior leader Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy and others are opposing the entry of Anam brothers, their bid to enter the ruling party are stopped midway.
