February 15, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:46 am IST - RAJAMAHENDRAVARAM:

After the formation of the new Andhra Pradesh, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be conducting a huge public meeting in the State for the first time. The meeting will be held in Rajamahendravaram on March 6.

Senior leaders, including the party’s national president Amit Shah, will attend the meeting.

Reviewing the arrangements with the local elected representatives here on Sunday, party’s MP and in-charge of Andhra Pradesh unit Siddharth Nath Jain said that the State stood top at the national level during the recent membership drive and the party’s strength improved manifold.

“That is why, the party has decided to convene a public meeting here and highlight the initiatives taken by the Narendra Modi government for different sections of the society,” he said.

BJP is enjoying a very good rapport with the Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh.
