Allocation of officers in APSRTC begins

April 18, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:42 am IST - HYDERABAD:

The process of allocating senior officers in the yet-to-be-bifurcated Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation has begun. About 750 officers, including a few of them in the supervisory cadre, have been issued letters by Friday evening.

It all started on April 9 when five Executive Directors were allotted to AP and three for Telangana operations.

From then, the move covered Regional Managers/Heads of Departments, Divisional Managers/Senior Scale Officers and Depot Managers/Junior Scale Officers and some more, in a phased manner.

About 200 depot managers who are junior scale officers and assistant managers in the supervisory cadre, working in AP and Telangana, were issued letters of temporary allotment, giving them the option of either accepting the allotment without question or stating reasons why they were seeking a change, before April 25.

The date for exercising their options is April 20 for Regional Managers and Divisional Managers, while the Depot Managers and Assistant Managers have till April 25 to do so, said a senior officer.
