Amaravati Development Corporation Limited has come forward to help the civic body with funding for the canal beautification project in the city.
Corporation chairperson D. Lakshmi Parthasarathy along with Municipal Commissioner J. Nivas visited Sambamurthy Road, where a stretch of Ryves canal bunds were developed with greenery, footpaths and murals recently. She asked the Commissioner to come up with detailed project reports for thethe three canals on the lines of Ryves canal development. Mr. Nivas said over 500 sanitation workers were cleaning up the canals every day as part of a special campaign.
