Unmindful of the searing heat, actors are busy campaigning in the State.

If Chiranjeevi is sweating it out to revive the fortunes of Congress in Seemandhra, his brother and founder of Jana Sena Party Pawan Kalyan is touring various parts of the State seeking a clear mandate for Narendra Modi and TDP-BJP combine.

While Mr. Chandrababu Naidu personally invited Mr. Kalyan to campaign, his brother-in-law, actor Balakrishna is busy touring Seemandhra region extensively. A contestant from Hindupur Assembly seat, Mr. Balakrishna was not short on theatrics during press conferences and road shows.

Actors in fray

Comedian Ali and veteran M. Muralimohan, contesting on TDP ticket for Rajahmundry Lok Sabha seat, are canvassing door-to-door in East and West Godavari districts, while Mr. Ali’s colleague in comedy department Venu Madhav did his bit by campaigning for TDP in Telangana districts.

Not far behind, Vijayawada-based singer Smita and actor couple Dr. Rajasekhar and Jeevitha came out with videos in praise of BJP, particularly for party’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.

The videos are a hit in Seemandhra as the actor couple sought vote in favour of BJP.

Actor Vijayashanti finished her campaign in Medak, while actress Jayaprada came out in support of TPCC chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah in Jangaon.
