Vemana varsity gets NAAC ‘B’ status

The Yogi Vemana University in Kadapa has been accorded ‘B’ grade by the National Assessment Accreditation Council (NAAC).

After the university filed a Self Study Report in November 2014, an NASAC team visited the campus between December 28 and 30 last year, a statement issued by the varsity said here on Thursday.

YVU Vice-Chancellor B. Syamasundar, Principal B. Jaipal Goud and Registrar Y. Nazeer Ahmed expressed pleasure on getting the NAAC recognition.

Appointed EAMCET convenors

Meanwhile, Director of Admissions in Yogi Vemana University (Kadapa) S. Raghunatha Reddy and Dean of YVU Engineering College (Proddatur) B. Jayachandra Reddy have been appointed as the Regional Convenors for the Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) 2016. Mr. Raghunatha Reddy will be the convenor for Kadapa EAMCET regional centre and Mr. Jayachandra Reddy for Proddatur regional centre, according to statement released by the a YVU here on Thursday.
