Jana Sena Party founder and actor Pawan Kalyan thanked Nizamabad MP K. Kavitha for “extending wholehearted support to Special Category Status (SCS) for Andhra Pradesh (A.P).”
He tweeted that both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana should show solidarity and work together in resolving the people’s issues.
“United we stand and divide we fall,” he observed on the micro-blogging site.
Consistent stand
Ms. Kavitha had stated on a couple of occasions earlier, including once when she called on a long-time family friend at Nandigama in Krishna district last August, that the Central government should keep its promise to give SCS to A.P., and that it was a political decision that the BJP could take if it was constrained by technical issues thereof.
Mr. Pawan Kalyan has been openly criticising the BJP and the TDP for belying the expectations of the people, and vowed to espouse their cause.
