Members of the Srikakulam Bar Association on Monday boycotted courts seeking welfare measures for advocates. They sought increase of welfare fund amount to ₹10 lakh from ₹3 lakh and medical insurance facility for all advocates.
The Bar Association representatives said that the government was not extending any welfare scheme for advocates’ families although a majority of them were not financially secure. They asked judicial officials to bring their grievances to the notice of the government.
