A group of conferred IAS, IPS and IFS officers belonging to Telangana region have represented to the government that they be retained in their native State.
There are about 75 such conferred officers of various All-India Services in the State. A decision was taken by a committee that these conferred officers be distributed between the two States.
About 20 officers, who met the Chief Secretary P.K. Mohanty here on Wednesday said that as they were educated and joined service in Telangana region, they should be retained in Telangana State.
The distribution of All-India Service officers would be decided by a separate Central Committee constituted for the purpose.
